Breath with Trees

It all begins with an idea.

The "Breath with Trees" film made for 48 Hour Neukölln festival is a concept development piece for a collaboration with @Creatmosphere, to develop work for their "Breathing Trees" series of lighting installations.

It was the trees and plant life in general that oxygenated the air enough for us to breathe as we do now. The breath of tree and human is animated in simple light points with different colours representing different elements animating the exhale/ inhale simply with light.

Wales breathing with its rivers lined with trees , I traced the rivers of wales and animated them as the lungs of wales , mirroring the structure the human lung

Dots in nature, a proposal for festival gates , a mirror reflecting the landscape and light points illuminated within, I was a little bit captivated by these dots overlaid on natural forms.

Taking these movements of carbon and oxygen and carbon dioxide as a cycle , this invisible element dances that is enabling our every breath.
